Honeymoon

Since we are poor folk from Manchester Maine we went to Bar Harbor on our Honeymoon. I actually can't complain we had a great time. The view from our room (which are the scenic pics) was to die for. Because of the time of year everything was on sale...so of course Shawn shopped til he dropped. We stayed in a nice hotel and ate fancy food, so not like us. But I was glad to only be gone a few days, I missed Aliyah like crazy. I guess she was at school crying because she wanted her mommy. It broke my heart..... but we had a blast and it's nice to be married!

That title is for you Christina....it feels funny to think of myself as a married woman...but it's been great! We had such a wonderful day, it was supposed to downpour in the morning and it ended up being beautiful all day long...God was smiling down on us for sure! Everything went off without a hitch and everyone had a fabulous time ( I heard). It was funny because the night of our wedding I woke up in the middle of the night and Shawn wasn't there, I went out into the living room and he was out there sleeping on the couch. I shouted over to him, "one day married and your already sleeping on the couch". He said it was too hot in the bedroom, i had to laugh! Married Life!!!!!!!

Storyland/camping

We went to storyland and camping last weekend and had a really good time. Aliyah finally met Snow White and even though she had been telling me for a week that she wouldn't touch her, she actually did. She even just stood there staring at her while snow white waved to other people. She was amazed. Malcolm of course liked the kings chair in cinderella's castle. The four kids got along pretty well (the other two are Cody and Khianna). All in all it was a successful weekend!!!! Shawn and I loved the scenery in New Hampshire!

swimming, or not!

On the fourth of July everyone but Malcolm thought that the water was too cold. Shawn wouldn't jump in and Aliyah just hung onto the ladder. We were throwing pennies into the pool and Mal was swimming to the bottom to find them. Lucas looked at me and said, "God made a mistake, he should have made Malcolm an autistic fish". I thought, he's right!!!!

I bought a mini trampoline from my birthday money and of course I think Aliyah thought that I bought it for her. She loved bouncing on it, but forgot to watch where she was bouncing and fell off a couple of times! She had a ball!

Mama Joyce

Well...mama Joyce finally came home and we got to spend the evening on the couch chatting about everything! We caught up in details of each other's lives and it was like she never left. I miss her terribly! She met Aliyah that night also, and of course Aliyah at first wouldn't talk to her. Joyce and I would laugh about something and Aliyah would say, "Shh, too loud!" She was funny...by the end of the night she really liked her though. Of course after she left the house she said bye from the window. It felt like old times with a new twist (Aliyah)! I miss her....... :(
